Position Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing Newport News, VA office. This position offers the flexibility, as-needed schedule while serving pediatric and/or adult populations in an outpatient private practice setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes and client needs.

  • Provide direct therapy services to clients across age groups.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines and clinic policies.

  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, and mental health professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each client.

  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers on strategies to enhance communication and language skills across daily routines and real-life settings.

  • Provide supervision to SLPAs and Interns.

  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and case consultations as needed

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current and valid Virginia Speech Language Pathology license

  • Strong clinical documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a collaborative clinical environment
